Work produced during a three-day artistic residency on the Cíes Islands. A drift framed by the northern, southern, eastern and western boundaries of the territory known to the Romans as the “Island of the Gods”.
An intimate approach of 40 photographs to what I like to think of as the place where the gods of the island dwell: the natural elements that shape the territory —water, stone, trees, plants...—, defining them individually in order to construct, as a whole, a meaning of the island.
Large format 8x10' film photography.Trabajo producido durante una residencia artística de tres días en las Islas Cíes. Un recorrido enmarcado entre los puntos límite al norte, sur, este y oeste del territorio, en la llamadas por los romanos «Isla de los Dioses».
Un acercamiento íntimo en 40 fotografías a lo que me gusta pensar que es el lugar donde habitan los dioses de la isla: la naturaleza que da forma al territorio —agua, piedra, árboles, plantas...—, definiéndolos individualmente para construir en su conjunto, un significado de la isla.
